What is GreenGen Biodigester?
A food waste management system that turns food waste into useful resources using microorganisms, without electricity.
What does food waste turn into?
Liquid Plant Nutrient:
Produced in an amount equal to the food waste added. Mix with water at a 1:10 ratio and use it to water plants.
Biogas:
Used as a cooking fuel through the installed gas burner, with approximately 30–60 minutes of use per day.
What can I put into the Biodigester?
“If you can eat it, you can add it.” The Biodigester can process a wide range of food waste, including food scraps, rice, vegetables, fruits, meat, and soup.
Do I need to separate the food waste?
Yes. Before adding food waste, remove large bones, hard fruit peels, large fish bones, and non-food items.
Can I add food waste every day?
Yes. You can add food waste every day, anytime, without waiting for the previous food waste to finish breaking down.
Does it smell?
How long does it take to process food waste?
The system is designed so that food waste added today can be used the next day.
Do I need to add more microorganisms?
No. Additional microorganisms are not required. Simply add food waste, and the microorganisms will grow and multiply naturally.
Is the biogas safe?
The biogas is safe. The biogas is low-pressure and difficult to ignite. It requires the right oxygen-to-gas ratio to ignite, and the system is designed for use with a dedicated gas burner.
What are the installation requirements?
The Biodigester requires 1–2 square meters, depending on the model. The installation area should have a sturdy surface, good ventilation, and be at least 3 meters away from sources of sparks. It can be installed outdoors in direct sunlight, but installing it in a shaded area can help extend the lifespan of the equipment.
How long does the Biodigester last?
The tank and microorganisms can be used for more than 5 years. Connectors and other components can be maintained or replaced as needed, depending on their condition.
